Streets are home to 51-years old khadi guzzler

FRANCISTOWN: Whether it's summer or winter, the latter being unbearable weather condition for any person, 51-year old homeless Thamsanqua Nleya, endures it all as his home is the streets of the northern city.

Mmegi team arrived at what Nleya calls his home, behind Ntshe House on Blue Jacket Street and found him lying on his back next to a pile of twigs. The moment the team greeted him, his eyes shot open and it was evident that we had disturbed his sleep.

Dressed in a red t-shirt, cream trousers and an old hat he sat up and stared at us with a welcoming smile on his face.  With his thin, parched lips, he looked like someone who had been hit by a bad bout of malaria.Perhaps SABC's Khumbule Khaya television programme will come in handy here to establish where his home is and whether his relatives are still alive.
