Stir Over Sitting Allowance

SELEBI-PHIKWE: A meeting, which lasted only five minutes, caused a tiff among Selebi-Phikwe councillors as to who should get a sitting allowance.

A town planning committee meeting held recently, caused a furore after one of the members arrived five minutes late in the meeting.

Former deputy mayor Rosemary Mukwewa found her counterparts in a prayer and stood outside the council chamber, thinking that the prayer marked the start of the meeting.
