The magistrate ordered that the cheque, which has been deposited in an interest bearing account at Kgale View's First National Bank branch, be temporarily frozen. The order bars any activity on the account. The cheque is now worth P 25, 240 163-43 after accumulated interest on the initial P21, 434, 434.

Magistrate Mugoni also ordered that the cheque should remain frozen until the Directorate of Public Prosecutions or a court of law advises otherwise.
Under the same order, the manager of the FNB branch is expected to hand over any documentation pertaining to transactions affecting the account to Superintendent Victor Mabina who deposed the affidavit that led to magistrate Mugoni's orders.
