State drops corruption charges against Guma Moyo

The state has dropped its intention to charge former Assistant Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Guma Moyo.

The Tati East MP was dropped from President Ian Khama's cabinet last year after he was informed that the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) was planning to charge him with corruption and conflict of interest.

However, the principal public relations officer at the Attorney General's Chambers, Abigail Hlabano said the state has closed the matter. "After further investigations were ordered by DPP, the matter has been closed on the basis of insufficient evidence," she said.
