Stage set for DK's launch at Molepolole

Hundreds of Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) followers are expected to converge on Molepolole tomorrow to witness the launch of party chairman Daniel Kwelagobe as the party's parliamentary candidate for Molepolole South.

Former Maun member of Parliament (MP) and one of the party's veteran politicians, Bahiti Temane will officially launch Kwelagobe who took over the chairmanship from Ian Khama when he ascended to be the country's presidency in April last year. Kwelagobe is seeking re-election as BDP chairman at the upcoming July congress.

Since the historic fall of Ponatshego Kedikilwe at the party's congress in 2003,never before have Central Committee elections within the ruling party generated so much controversy.
