Spar Supermarket former employee's case withdrawn

FRANCISTOWN: A former employee of Spar Supermarket had his matter struck off the roll, at the Francistown Magistrate Court yesterday after the state failed to furnish the court with relevant documents to support their argument.

Tawana Molao a former administration officer of the chain store, situated at Nzano Mall in Francistown, was charged with stealing by servant in February 2008. Molao was alleged to have stolen P17,600 belonging to the supermarket.

Senior Magistrate Thebeetsile Mulalu said he would withdraw Molao's case following the state prosecutor's request that they wished the matter to be withdrawn due to insufficient evidence. "This case is currently withdrawn until the State can have any other new evidence on the matter, only then will the case be reopened, " said Mulalu.
