Some schools in Kweneng still face critical challenges

MOGODITSHANE: Critical conditions at some schools contribute to rapid deterioration of primary school results, councillors of Mogoditshane/Thamaga Sub-District said at a meeting here on Tuesday.

The councillor for Mmopane, Phagenyane Phage, singled out Taumanthe Primary School where he said there are up to 65 children per class.

The schoo1 had a total enrolment of 1,050 pupils but suffered a serious shortage of facilities, including classrooms, books and chairs, with the children having to bring blankets from home to sit on under trees.
