Soldier on fraud charge

The 31-year-old soldier based at Donga camp in Francistown, Onalethata Motley Thapelo was not asked to plead. He was granted bail.
According to the prosecution, Thapelo, between November 2002 and January 2004, at the government revenue office, with intent to defraud the government of Botswana, obtained a total of P60, 820.40 as night out pay falsely claiming that he went on various work related trips in Botswana when he knew that the representation was false.
