Smooth Sailing At Domkrag Youth, Minus Israel And Mugabe

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Youth Wing says their organisation is heading in the right direction despite public perception about militarisation of the civil service, erosion of freedom of expression, undermining of civil liberties and authoritarian rule.

"We are very pleased about our state of democracy. We are still following the foundations on which our democracy was founded.  We believe the party has not veered away from the direction of our democracy," said national chairman and member of the central committee, Kenaleone Motsaathebe.

He said the Pono Moatlhodi saga was not a big issue because it emanated from a breakdown in communication between him and councillors in his constituency. It was resolved amicably.
