'Smoking is dangerous', says man with chronic affliction

It must have been the excitement of writing final examinations at secondary school that got Bodigelo (not his real name) hooked on cigarette smoking.

He confesses to Mmegi that it was in 1969 when he was doing Form 5 that he took that first puff that would eventually leave him in a debilitating respiratory condition.

"I had never smoked in my secondary school days," he says. "But on the last day of exams, I did."
