Slow pace stumps S/Phikwe job creation

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Recent statistics presented to Council by the Labour Department have shown a drop in the ocean with only one placement for permanent and pensionable employment secured from January to May this year.

This is against 835 job seekers registered with the office, the department revealed.

During the same period, 352 registered as cleaners; 49 as mechanics; 204 as labourers; 180 as administration staff; 51 as operators and 49 as construction workers.
