Slow decentralisation in Kweneng

The decentralisation of services at Molepolole/Lentsweletau sub-council is moving at a snail's pace, councillors have been told.

Addressing the fourth and final Molepolole/Lentsweletau sub-council meeting on Monday, chairman Shima Monageng said that operationalisation of Lentsweletau as a hybrid service centre, which is intended to ultimately turn it into a fully-fledged sub district, "is progressing albeit at a slow pace".

He said that they had wished to at least move some staff to the village to help villagers who travel long distances for services in Molepolole.
