Sky's the limit for Kambimba

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Selebi-Phikwe West MP, Kavis Kario's administration officer, Anderson Kambimba who has been accused of being involved in active politics, has resigned.Kambimba tendered his resignation letter to the MP amid reports that he is set to challenge Vister Moruti in the Okavango constituency.

Kambimba attracted the ire of both opposition and his Botswana Democratic Party members who questioned his political partiality.He was seen addressing rallies and wearing BDP colours when he was still in the civil service.Kambimba leaves at a time when a full council meeting recently resolved to refer a question regarding his political involvement to parliament.

Last Thursday's full council session resolved that the general assembly provide answers regarding constituency administration officers' involvement in politics.An opposition Botswana Congress Party (BCP) councillor, Evelyn Kgodungwe wanted to know if constituency administration officers are governed by government General Orders.She said if that was the case, why are they allowed to address rallies?
