Skelemani calls on churches to fight HIV/AIDS

FRANCISTOWN: Foreign Affairs Minister, Phandu Skelemani, has called on churches to stand up and fight prostitution.

Speaking at the Organisation of African Independent Churches (OAIC) meeting held at Monarch's Christ The Word of God Church at the weekend, the MP for Francistown East said young women had a tendency of trading their bodies for money, which was against the will of God.

The meeting was organised by OAIC as an initiative to sensitise church leaders on issues of HIV/AIDS. "Where in the Bible is written that people should exchange money for sexual favours?" he queried.
