A kgotla meeting by minister Peter Siele, which was scheduled for yesterday at Dikwididi in Kgatleng, has been postponed until further notice.

Bakgatla tribal leaders, led by their chief Kgafela, have said that they do not want cabinet ministers and President Ian Khama to use their dikgotla because there is a pending matter between the government and Bakgatla.Local Government Minister, Lebonaamang Mokalake's kgotla meeting in Oodi last week failed after he was told by Kgosi Semele of Oodi that he was not welcome in his kgotla.

When asked yesterday if his meeting was postponed to avoid a possible face-off with the belligerent Kgatleng tribal leadership, Labour and Home Affairs Minister, Siele, said: "No. It is just that I have some other engagements. But the meeting will take place at a date to be announced."
