Shortage Of Science Teachers Rocks FSSS

FRANCISTOWN: Parents of Francistown Senior Secondary School (FSSS) students are up in arms over the acute shortage of science teachers that has rocked the embattled school.

The concerned parents are worried that their children are bound to fail if nothing is done.
According to one anxious parent of a Form Five student, her child's class has not been taught all the three science subjects since the beginning of the term. The three science subjects are Biology, Chemistry and Physics and in some instances, especially Pure Science classes, lack specialist teachers in all of them.

"My child's Pure Science class has not been taught. Although my child is a very intelligent and hard working student I'm afraid he is bound to fail at the end of the year. The situation at FSSS is worrying to say the least," the frustrated parent said.
