Shortage of drugs continues to bite

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Drug shortage continues to be a problem at Selebi-Phikwe Government Hospital as the Central Medical Stores is failing to meet the high demand.

The hospital Chief Medical Officer, Dr Joseph Sharma said despite receiving funds from the Ministry of Health to purchase drugs locally, the local pharmacies are still unable to meet the demand needed by the hospital.

Dr Sharma was addressing Assistant Minister of Health, Gaothaetse Matlhabaphiri, during a recent visit to the hospital.
