Authorities at the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) have declined to say when students admitted at the defective Shakawe Senior Secondary School (SSSS) in Okavango will start classes.

The MoESD has since announced that the over 500 students will be admitted to Maun Senior Secondary School (MSSS). The principal public relations officer at the MoESD, Oarabile Phefo told Mmegi that he could not disclose the date as that would be tantamount to pre-empting a teachers' meeting today at MSSS.

"I can only tell you that the students are opening soon," he said. The 60 teachers who have been posted to SSSS meet in Maun to map a way forward for the students who have already missed a whole school term. The second school term commenced on Tuesday.
