Sexual healing lands Janus-faced 'charlatan' in court

A 42-year old man accused of rape has been denied bail because his identity remains a puzzle.

Appearing before Broadhust magistrate Pako Ralehika-Phiri, state prosecutor Thabo Malambane made an application for 'Lucky Maripe' to be remanded in custody because investigations were still ongoing as the accused was trading under three identities.
'Maripe' is a Botswana citizen whose identity card was issued last year and who  claims to have been born in Mmopane while his mother, who helped him with the application, is from Nlakhwane.

The state also says 'Maripe' is a registered South African citizen from Limpopo of ID No. 4811082497082 and going by the name of 'Samson Mdabo'. Still in South Africa, the state says it has information that the same person is known as 'Dr M.S Yakjaly'.
