Serowe teachers allege victimisation

Some teachers at Mannathoko Community Junior Secondary School in Serowe have accused their school head of sabotage and victimisation.

Teachers who participated in the eight-weeks long public service strike are alleging that the school head Joseph Lesetedi and his deputy Dikeledi Mathiba are applying all tactics to divide the teachers between those who went on strike and those who did not.

A teacher, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed that recently a junior teacher who did not take part in the strike was promoted to a senior position, yet there were others in her department more experienced and more qualified than her.
