Serowe South rejects Seretse

FRANCISTOWN: Former cabinet minister, Tebelelo Seretse has suffered a major setback in her bid to dislodge Daniel Kwelagobe as chairman of the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

Seretse was rejected in her Serowe South constituency over the weekend in her attempt to be elected a delegate or observer at the forthcoming party congress and elections next month.

It was a clean sweep for the Kedikilwe-Kwelagobe faction as the constituency held elections for delegates and observers for the congress at the Khama Memorial Primary School in Serowe.The eight delegates and four observers elected are all from the faction.
