The Monitor Staffer Ephraim Keoreng chanced upon Botswana's envooy to the US, Tebelelo Seretse who talked about her new job of 'selling' Botswana to the world.

It is not everyday that you meet an ambassador at the wheel of a car, without a chauffeur. Neither would you expect to see an ambassador sitting down on the terrace of a public building, in the searing sun talking about the official business of marketing her country to the world.

But then Tebelelo Seretse is not your usual kind of diplomat or senior government official. She is an outspoken businesswoman-cum-political street fighter and is currently the Botswana ambassador to the US.
