Selebi-Phikwe suicides worry police

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Police in Selebi-Phikwe are investigating a case of suspected suicide after the body of a middle aged-man was found at the council landfill. The man hails from Marapong village and works for the Botswana Building Society (BBS).

Selebi-Phikwe Police Station commander, Superintendent Victor Nlebesi said the body was found yesterday morning. He explained that the deceased did not leave any suicide note and they are still trying to find out what could have prompted him to kill himself.

"People should ask for help when they have problems, no matter how much pressure they face. Suicide is not the answer to problems. It creates more problems for family members. This kind of death causes lots of inconvenience and causes panic to everybody," Nlebesi said.
