SELEBI-PHIKWE: Selebi-Phikwe Town Council has established a task force to handle plots that were not included in the assessment for compensation during the infrastructure development project in Botshabelo.

The mayor, Godfrey Mbaiwa has said that the council made the decision after receipt of overwhelming queries from Botshabelo residents whose plots were not included in the assessment.

He explained that as Botshabelo is a built up area, issues of compensation are inevitable. He said it has been discovered that many plots were not captured during the assessment for compensation stage of the project. "As a result, a lot of people submitted queries for damages to their properties," he said.
