FRANCISTOWN: Sefhare Sub-Land Board appears to have heeded a call by SOS Children's Village to allocate children from the village who have come of age residential and farming plots in villages.

Five youth from SOS Francistown, three young women and two men above the age of 21, have been allocated residential plots in Ramokgonami village in Tswapong East District. SOS Francistown's Acting Director, Petrus Mmualefhe told Mmegi on Monday that the plots have electricity and running water and what remains is for structures to be erected on the plots."We are now appealing to donors and volunteers to come forwards to assist with the construction of houses for these people."For some time now we have been calling for the integration of children in our villages who are above the age of 21 to be integrated into the society. We have many of them now who continue residing in the villages when they are supposed to be having homes outside the villages," he said.

"I implore all Batswana to heed the noble gesture of the Presidential Housing Appeal and assist in developing these recently allocated plots in Ramokgonami...," he said adding that no transfer of the plots would be entertained unless there is authrorisation from the SOS.
