According to his elated mother the boy reacted badly to the vaccine and from there it was a series of visits to various hospitals where his leg was finally amputated.
The man soldiered on until he completed his form five at Moshupa Senior School last year. Through a series of fundraising activities such as sponsored walk, donors from individuals, companies, staff and students, the school embarked on a journey to buy him a prosthetic leg. With the cost of the leg being exorbitant the school was faced with an uphill battle.
