Second round fells two BNF generals

Veteran politicians, Mokgweetsi Kgosipula and Murray Dipate were the only two prominent casualties in the Botswana National Front (BNF)'s second round of primary elections held over the weekend. The former Member of Parliament for Mogoditshane, Kgosipula lost to Charles Charles with 629 to 703 votes.

In the Kweneng South constituency, Dipate was dealt a blow by Kopano Rannatshe with 469 to 732 votes.

The two men are known to be in the faction headed by the party president, Otsweletse Moupo.
