Second exile for Zim journalist

When Zimbabwean journalist, Tanonoka Joseph Whande returned to his country in 1984 after 12 years of exile in the United States, he did not think he would be forced to flee again.

But 20 years later, he was on the run from the same government that liberated the country from colonial rule. He is currently a refugee in Botswana.

When Zimbabwe gained independence in 1980, there was euphoria about Uhuru and the end of the war.
