Saleshando reads barbarism in third term call

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Opposition Botswana Congress Party (BCP) leader, Gilson Saleshando has described calls for a third term for President Ian Khama as 'desperate and barbaric'.

The call was made by Assistant Minister, Olifant Mfa who said the costs of maintaining many retired presidents as the main reason. 

"He is just henchman; pure and simple. He wants to assure Ian (Khama) that he is his man and he is loyal to him," Saleshando said. He added that he would not be surprised to hear Mfa calling for Khama to be a life president.
