SA, Botswana hail joint border operations

The Botswana and South Africa Joint Permanent Commission on Defence and Security has expressed satisfaction on progress made by law enforcement agencies in both countries in identifying and profiling criminal syndicates operating across the borders.

A media release from the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, Justice and Security says the commission notes the excellent cooperation between the two countries in the areas of mutual legal assistance and extradition.

It further says the commission has noted Botswana's concern relating to conditional extradition of murder suspects.
