Ruling in murder case reserved

FRANCISTOWN: Justice Terrence Rannowane is yet to rule on a case where the defence has applied for no case to answer.

Rannowane reserved ruling to a date yet to be set as he had to look at the admitted evidence. The case before court is that the accused person Mkhulule Moyo killed Nhlalo Ncube on August, 2008 in Tati Siding.  The murder trial proved to be unusually short as the state witness also seemed to strengthen the defence case, saying they did not see the accused person when the deceased was beaten to death.

Defence attorney Thami Silitshena of Thami Silitshena Attorneys submitted that the court should acquit and discharge the accused person because the state had failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.
