Police have launched an intensive investigation following an incident in which an unidentified man robbed G4S Security guards of cash amounting to P80,000 this morning in Mochudi.

One of the G4S Security guards was carrying the cash box containing around P80,000 collected from Choppies in Ntshinoga ward to the car when an unknown man pounced on him, snatching the cash box away. On the case, Mochudi Police Station commander, Superintendent Smash Mokoba said investigations into the matter are ongoing to locate at least four suspects currently at large.

“The incident occurred at around 10:30am. After snatching the cash box from the G4S Security guard, the unknown man got away in a blue Honda Fit that had about three other people inside who fled the scene [along with the assailant and the money]. No one was injured despite the suspect having twisted the security guard’s hand while getting to the cash box,” Mokoba said.
