Road transport to phase out combis

FRANCISTOWN: The Station Manager for the Department of Road Transport and Safety, Patrick Motlhanka, says that his department is in the process of removing the 16-seater passenger combis or minibuses from travelling long distances.

He says that currently, they are involved in the process of changing the law with relevant stakeholders that will pave way for the move.

"We will be replacing them with 23 to 28 seater passenger transport buses. "We realised that the 16-seater combis become useless during busy days as they cannot transport many people at once.
