Review constitution to decipher separation of powers - Nasha

Speaker of the national assembly, Dr Margaret Nasha has said there is need to look at the constitution to decipher exactly what separation of power is all about.

Speaking at a workshop on separation of power in Gaborone on Monday, Nasha said: "We need to be informed about what pertains in other democracies in the Commonwealth and in the world at large.

Some of our members have repeatedly asked questions like, what does this independence entail, independence from who or from what? And are the legs of this three-legged pot equal?"
