Results show teachers are not on go-slow - BOSETU

That the BGCSE curriculum and grading system did not change with only a slight drop in results exonerates teachers of malice in the disastrous JC examinations where all the variables changed, argues BOSETU secretary general TOBOKANI RARI

We note a slight improvement of 1.4 percent from the previous year results in candidates who obtained a C or better grades. However there is a significant drop of 3.18 percent in candidates who obtained 5 credits or better.

This is the quality pass that determines admission to tertiary institutions. We observe all in all, we have experienced yet another overall decline in the BGCSE results, this time by a 3.18 percent.  While this is not tolerable at all, we observe that this decline is not dramatic as compared to the 2012 JC results. We note as well that, for the past five years we have been having a sharp, consistent and slight declines in the results of on average by 2%.
