Residents express concern at state of education

Some residents of Mochudi have expressed concern and disappointment at the current state of education in Botswana.

They told the committee of enquiry into the 2010 examinations crisis at the village Kgotla yesterday that the country will not achieve its goals if the education sector is in shambles. Omphile Thekiso, likened public schooling in the country to the Bantu Education in South Africa during apartheid. 

"Bantu Education has come to Botswana.  There is Bantu Education and education for children of ministers," he said.
