Red Cross salutes media

Speaking at Lamila Lodge in Mogoditshane recently, Botswana Red Cross Society Secretary General, Mable Rammekwa saluted the media for its positive role last year in enabling the society to attain its goals.

She contended that the media, both electronic and print, helped the society to uplift the welfare of the less privileged members of society through constructive publicity of its activities.

She stated that the media 'is a cardinal stakeholder in sustainable socio-economic development in any society', adding that the media has the potential to foster or retard sustainable national growth.
