This is cabinet minister, Mokgweetsi Masisi and BOFEPUSU president and chief negotiator, Masego Mogwera hugging yesterday at a peaceful gathering attended by community leaders, government officials and workers in Gaborone.

It seems that at last there is a thaw in the strained relations between the government and the workers unions after the BOFEPUSU president declared at a fully-packed meeting at the Civic Centre that peace is near. She told the gathering that they will soon be going back to work.

"Re bone go le maleba gore a ene modiga. (We found it fit to make peace and call for an end to all these). Re kopa maitshwarelo.. what happened is very painful, please forgive us...it was not our intention to cause all this (chaos)," Mogwera apologised.
