Realic students demand refund

A group of about 20 students at Realic Educational Services in African Mall, Gaborone are up in arms seeking a refund for being misled into studying a foundation Human Resources Management course instead of a certificate.

One of the students explained that they realised that they have been misled after enquiring from the Botswana Training Authority (BOTA) whether they would be eligible for government sponsorship. "That is when we realised that this is a lower level and we still have about three levels".

Another student indicated that they have now resorted to seeking legal advice on how to gain their refund. The students revealed that they paid about P350 per month and a P600 examination fee. The school has no Student Representative Council and the courses offered run for about four to six months only.
