Rape case rests on identification parade

The state closed its case this week in the trial in which five Botswana Defence Force (BDF) soldiers and two Botswana Police special constables are charged with indecent assault and forcing Zimbabwe citizens to have sexual intercourse.

The last prosecution witness, Inspector Christopher Molobe, who conducted an identification parade to identify the suspects, testified on Wednesday.

The accused persons are Samuel Seshabo, Pako Tlhabaki, Thato Bojosi, Moagi Samson and Kodziba Balopi, all soldiers stationed at the Sir Seretse Khama Barracks in Mogoditshane.
