Rantshabeng applies for stay of prosecution

LOBATSE: High Court judge Michael Leburu will today deliver judgement on the stay of prosecution by Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs, Victor Rantshabeng. Rantshabeng has made a spirited attempt to stay his prosecution on constitutional grounds.

Just a day before the 45th independence anniversary of the country, the deputy PS will be keeping his fingers crossed for a favourable judgement.  

Rantshabeng approached Lobatse High Court seeking permanent stay of prosecution because the state had failed to try him within a reasonable time.
