Rammidi calls it a day

Assistant Minister of Local Government Kentse Rammidi resigned his Cabinet post this week Monday to concentrate on his campaign for the secretary general post of the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

Rammidi is said to have met with President Ian Khama yesterday to inform him about issues pertaining to his resignation and later resigned.

When asked to state if indeed he has resigned and for what reasons, the Kanye North Member of Parliament (MP) could only say, "I will make an announcement at an appropriate time". By late afternoon, the independent minded Rammidi was said to be upraising people in his constituency about his decision.
