Radijeng takes chair of continental libraries

Botswana Library Association president, Kgomotso Radijeng, is now chairperson of the Standing Conference of Eastern, Central & Southern Africa Library and Information Associations.

Radijeng took the chair after the SCECSAL conference which was held in Gaborone this month. Radijeng is resource centre coordinator at the Botswana National Productivity Centre's Information Resource Centre.

At the conference held under the theme: "Enhancing Democracy and Good Governance through Effective Information and Knowledge Services," and attended by librarians from Africa, SCECSAL committed to support initiatives geared towards promoting libraries in primary schools,  promoting e-governance and  promoting free access to information in libraries.
