Quartet charged for illegal traditional beer brewing

Four Mookane women suspected to be illegal shebeen operators were recently arrested and fined by the police for brewing traditional beer without a permit.

Dibete police station commander, Superintendent Meshack Ranku said on the fateful day the quartet being all women had their traditional beer seized by the police after failing to produce permits for brewing.

Two suspects aged 75 and 52 years are inhabitants of Letswere ward, Mookane while the other two, aged 30 and 40 years are residents of Tshipana ward still in Mookane.
