Private attorney sues state for P265, 000

FRANCISTOWN: Attorney Mboni Manyothwane is suing the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) and government, demanding P265, 000 for unlawful arrest and false imprisonment and loss of income.

Monyothwane, who is represented by Morris Ndawana, is claiming P250, 000 for wrongful arrest and imprisonment and P15, 000 for loss of income.

Testifying before Judge Justice Moses Chihnengo yesterday, Manyothwane indicated that he had lost close to P15, 000 during the eight hours he was interrogated and subsequently arrested and detained.
