Prisons denies unfair promotions

Public Relations Officer in the department of prisons Wamorena Ramolefhe has denied allegations of unfair promotions at the department following complaints by junior officers. The promotions were effected on May 1.

"There were few posts but many competitors and it is only natural that we could not take all of them. Officers know that they have to pass the proficiency test before they could be considered for promotion.

He denied any knowledge of officers who were not happy with the latest development saying that any officer with any grievance was supposed to follow the organisation's structure to lodge a complaint.
