Princess, youth ambassador in charity project

Former first princess in the Miss All Schools Against Aids competition, Wennie Pelelekae and youth ambassador, Nthabiseng Matlou, have teamed up around the idea of raising funds for a charitable cause.

Pelelekae , going for her third year of study in business information systems at Limkokwing University, has participated in several modelling shows at Game City.  She has also done similar work for Foschini and Stuttafords and other organisations in and around Gaborone.  Pelelekae  now wants to tap into that experience to contribute to a good cause, as does Matlou, who recently returned from the United States of America were she gained skills in doing community work. They prudently shy away from naming the institution to which they will donate the money saying, "We do believe in this project, but we do not want to name the prospective recipients just in case something goes wrong".

They have targeted Maru-A- Pula Secondary School and the Botswana Defence Force amphitheatre for the fundraising activities where families will attend to listen to messages targeted mainly at the youth.
