*Owes clinics, referral hospitals over P10m

It is feared that the country's top referral hospital Princess Marina's 2012-13 budget allocation would be severely depleted when it attempts to pay off P 20 million in debt it owes local and South African clinics and referral hospitals.

According to the Auditor General's Report, Princess Marina has accumulated invoices from referral hospitals and clinics both in South Africa and locally to the tune of P10,041,801 because there were no funds. The auditor general (AG) says upon further questioning it was revealed that Princess Marina's vote (budget allocation) was depleted by over P20 million as at March 2011.
