Primary heads commended for support during strike

Primary school heads have been given the thumbs up for helping to avert massive destruction during the eight weeks industrial action by public sector workers.

Officially opening the second National Primary School Heads Council (NPSHC) in Gaborone yesterday, Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development (MoESD), Keletso Rakhudu said there could have been massive destruction had headmasters not demonstrated guidance and direction in their respective schools during those difficult days.

"We were not in a fight, we will never fight teachers and I would like to ask you (headmasters) to pass this message to teachers," Rakhudu said.
