A priest who presents Radio Botswana's morning religious programme Se mphete le nna has complained that he was suspended after complaints by some powerful people that he is political.

Thuso Tiego, a United Congregational Church of Southern Africa (UCCSA) priest, told Mmegi in Gaborone yesterday that he was shocked when on August 14 he was barred from entering the Mass Media Complex at 4am and when he asked why, he was told that some people in the higher echelons of power did not want him working for the public broadcaster.
